The Dudhsagar Falls of Goa is one of the tallest falls. It is a four-tiered waterfall, situated on the Mandovi River in Goa. It is around 320 meters which are around 1050 feet. The falls rest on the Goa-Karnataka border.

However, you would have seen lots of falls, but this spot must at the top of your list. The tourists visit this must-see sight as it one of India’s must-see sights. As soon as the tourists reach here, they are amazed seeing Dudhsagar Falls. Consequently, they are extremely happy and feel lucky for being here.

The Falls are called Dudhsagar because of the white water cascades falling from a height of 320 meters.

How to reach:

From Panaji:

Dudhsagar Falls are about 71 km far from, Kadamba Bus Stand, Panaji. You can either travel by bus to reach Tambdi Surla or can hire a cab to reach the destination. Once you get down at Tambdi Surla, then you can choose a taxi ride to reach the Dudhsagar Falls. Basically, a bus journey will cost you around 1000 to 1300 INR per head.

From Goa International Airport:

Goa International Airport is 69.6 km from the Dudhsagar Waterfalls. The most convenient way to get there is either by a hired taxi ride or a self-drive. It will just take around two hours for you to reach your final destination.

When to Visit:

However, you may there whenever you like. But monsoon is the best time to see the amazing Dudhsagar Falls. As soon as I suggested the monsoon season, you would have got a question ‘Why monsoon?’ didn’t it? See, during monsoon the water label will be above normal as a result, you will see the splendid cascading effect of the falling water down through the verdant hills. When we think about the falls of Goa, Verna Springs is one of the names that stick to our minds. However, Verna Springs is also popular as Kesarval Springs. And it is around 50m to 70m. By the way, Verna Springs rest near the Verna Cliff.

Kesarval, in other words, eagles had a nesting ground near the falls. Hence, Verna Springs is also popularly called Kesarval Springs. With the passes of time, eagles are gone but Kesarval Springs gush out of the large hills and green trees and plants as ever.

The place has a mesmerizing beauty as the surroundings are full of quietness. However, nature offers you the hum of the forest fauna. Certainly, it is one of the best places to experience in Goa. Undoubtedly, you will enjoy a family trip here.

Though nature lies here, you may experience a little noise here. The spot is noisy for the people who frequently go there. Not only this, there goes a rumor that the water gushing out there holds healing properties.

According to the people, the skin, eye, and many other internal ailments can be cured here. As a result, they take a dip with a deep faith that they will be cured here. And so the people drink the water there, having the same hope to get rid of their sickness.

How to reach from Panaji: You may travel by bus or train to reach Cortalim. After getting down from the train or bus, use local transportation to reach the springs. Alternatively, you can use your or rented car or scooter. As the springs are just 22km far from Panaji.

There are many centers of tourist attractions in Goa, some of them are falls in Goa. Hence Todo Falls is one of the centers of attractions for tourists. There are many falls in Goa, still, Todo Falls is one of the extremely beautiful waterfalls in Goa.

Undoubtedly, all the waterfalls are exquisitely beautiful, but the most interesting fact about Todo Falls is that one has to trek to reach the falls. Now, isn’t it amazing? I think it won’t be wrong to say that they are falls with trekking activity.

You know trekking is one of the most thrilling activities. Yeah, it may be somewhat tiring but when you finish the trek, you will see the amazing and beautiful Todo Falls. Hence, trekking activities make this spot one of the best falls in Goa.

Certainly, watching the falling water is mesmerizing and trekking offers you to see the breathtaking views on your way to your destination. Thus Todo Falls become different from all the falls. However, all the falls are naturally beautiful. But when one reaches the falls, he feels himself in the lap of nature.

Arvalem Waterfalls

Though Arvalem Waterfalls are not so huge as Dudhsagar Falls, they are around 50 meters high and approx 7 meters wide. Certainly, Arvalem Waterfalls are one of the best falls in Goa to visit.

You can easily reach the falls as they are not far from North Goa beaches. You will also get a chance to see other eye-catching places near about the falls. The Arvalem Waterfalls rests in Mapusa, it is near the Bicholem Village.

By the way, the Lamgau Caves are closer to the place. The location is fit for white-water rafting which is 13km from the site of the waterfall. The Arvalem Waterfalls are exquisitely beautiful, and especially in the monsoon months when they fall into the lake below. Undoubtedly, they fall with a fearful force.

When we think about all the places to see in Goa, this spot becomes one of the most beautiful spots to visit. And, in the summer the lake becomes a swimming pool for the swimmers. Hence they enjoy the summertime here. As well as, there is a park, we can call it a great picnic spot.  The government maintains it well.

You can make a day trip with your family and children to this location. Enjoy the other activities nearby with your family. Undoubtedly, children will have fun here.
